Career Fair

At the career fair, the most interesting group I got in contact with were the people from The Los Alamos National Laboratory. I learned many interesting things from my conversation with them, and I am sharing it here.

Values, Goals, Beliefs

The people from Los Alamos National Laboratories are big on family values, innovation in science, public safety and a strong work life balance. Their mission statement was, "The research and science to solve national security and nuclear challenges." I asked many questions as to how they help others and keep everyone safe.

Specialized Knowledge

As I got more comfortable with the people, I learned that they specialize in nuclear weapons. I was shocked at the things they are capable of doing. They do lots of research behind nuclear weapons, engineering and even supercomputing. They told me that they hire many people that are in the field of computer science. 

My Thoughts

Overall, I had a great experience with the people at Los Alamos Laboratories. I learned a lot about nuclear technology and the work that goes into it. These people are a huge part of keeping us safe and we need more people like them.
